In around the early 2000s, a group of DVD executives, some of them dvd wholesalers likely, sat aroundto chat the future of the dvd. Peering over the horizon for
wholesale dvd suppliers, rental sellers, makers and others was the coming battle between dvd technology and newer inventions like blue laser for supplying high definition demand. Back then, a large number of people in First World countries had dvd machinesplayers, replacing older VHS players which in turn had taken the place of 8 track and other archaic technology. The possibility for wholesale dvds was immense and still expanding, so there was not a lot to be worried about but much to be anticipated.
Now what has occurred? The Blu-ray innovation is on the market and unfortunately for buyers is not usable with their old dvd players and is more costly. It will probably catch on, however, and already, DVD wholesalers now offer Blu Ray recordings as well as the old styles.
What is the difference between the models? After all, to the typical consumer, they look similar
For one thingthe storage capability differs quite a bit. The blu-ray has over five times the capability of old-style digital recordings. This means that you can allow more movies onto a sole disc, or really long films on one dvd; thus, when you are purchasing your wholesale dvds, you may be able to get one item rather than many (think the Lord of the Rings films). This also affects disc fabrication; although most buyers would not likely take note; the blu-ray has additional grooves.
Also, as the moniker implies, the blu-ray uses blue laser technology to scan the disc, which signifies that the wavelength is truncated and the reading therefore more vivid. Consumers agree on this: the Blu-ray provides clearer, more focused views and thus is suited to high definition television models. The standard recordings tend to to show up a little hazy on an HD-TV.
Finally although you cannot use a blu-ray on a standard dvd player, you can operate a old dvd on a blu-ray machine. This is the hope for the widespread adoption of this technology; you will not be unable to play your old dvds.
So once the prices go down – as will happen – the blu-ray disc will at last have replaced the older models.
